Granny panties is a nickname for women's briefs made in a full-cut style rather
than a bikini or high-cut style. Some people associate this style of underwear
with social conservatism or older women (hence the name), but many women wear
this style of underwear for reasons of comfort or to achieve a smoother line (without
a panty line) under their slacks.
In addition to the traditional plain white cotton, briefs are available in
a similar range of colors and fabrics as other women's underwear styles, including
spandex, satin, stretch lace, and the like.
